Biography

Dinamaris has been involved in research at UCF since 2022, contributing to projects focused on women’s health, substance use, HIV, mental health, and the effects of COVID-19 and Long COVID across the United States, Latin America, and Spain. Her research experience has included qualitative and quantitative research, bilingual Spanish-English translation and back-translation, international data collection, literature reviews, and research dissemination. She has presented her work at regional, national, and international conferences, including research on Long COVID among women presented in Seville, Spain.

As her research interests have expanded, Dinamaris has become increasingly involved in clinical and translational research. She currently serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the WAVE Study, a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial investigating water-soluble cannabidiol (CBD) for reducing risky alcohol use. Her work includes clinical trial start-up, regulatory preparation, development of study procedures, coordination with research and clinical personnel, and preparation for participant recruitment and trial implementation.

Dinamaris aspires to become a physician and hopes to integrate research, medicine, and compassionate patient care throughout her career. She is particularly interested in understanding how scientific discoveries can be translated into meaningful improvements in patients’ lives. Outside of research and medicine, music has remained an important part of her life, strengthening her appreciation for creativity, discipline, and human connection. Ultimately, she hopes to use her experiences in science, medicine, service, and music to positively impact the individuals and communities she serves.
