Dr. Rema Gupta is board-certified in Internal Medicine, with specialty focuses in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She began her medical career at St George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed her residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut. Dr. Gupta has also completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Gupta was welcomed to the University of Central Florida (UCF), College of Medicine in 2014. Her primary role with UCF is as an internal medicine physician at UCF Health. Since, 2012, Dr. Gupta served as a Volunteer Faculty member in the second year curriculum for cases regarding endocrinology pathophysiology. She has also been involved with Florida State University College of Medicine for several years as Clinical Volunteer Faculty. Prior to joining UCF Health, Dr. Gupta was a lead Endocrinologist at Orlando Health. During her tenure at Orlando Health she became the Section Chief of Endocrinology and the Medical Director for Orlando Health Diabetes Management Program. Dr. Gupta serves in the community as a member of the American Diabetes Association Community Leadership Board. She maintains professional membership with the Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association. Dr. Gupta has been invited to make several presentations within the community and the media on the topics Endocrinology and Diabetes.
