Biography

Dr. Gary D. Miller is a board-certified family practitioner. He is a graduate of Albany Medical College. He continued on to complete his residency in Medicine at the District of Columbia General Hospital in Georgetown. After completing residency, Dr. Miller completed hospital residencies in Pediatrics, Surgery and Obstetrics at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American Board of Family Practice. He has additional certification in Geriatrics, Hospice and Palliative Care and is a certified Medical Director.

Dr. Miller joined the college in 2008 as an Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Miller participates as a clinical skills preceptor for the Practice of Medicine modules.  He also facilitates medical interviewing and making of a physician sessions for first and second year students.

Before his time at UCF, Dr. Miller served as a Preceptor for Florida State Medical School, Syracuse Medical College and for the Physician Assistant Program at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He also maintains hospital privileges at several hospitals throughout central Florida many of which he served as a chairman of Family Practice and once on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Miller is a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association and the Orange County Medical Society.
