Faith joined the Harriet F. Ginsburg Health Sciences Library team in 2009 as a Senior Library Technical Assistant prior to the matriculation of the College of Medicine’s first class. Shortly thereafter, Faith became the Coordinator of Health Sciences Library Services where she served until Fall 2013, moving to Tallahassee to be near her family and first grandchild. In the Fall of 2017, Faith was lured back to the College of Medicine to resume her position as Coordinator when her predecessor retired. In her role as Coordinator, Faith is responsible for managing all aspects of the Library’s budget, assists with event planning, and monitors the Library’s daily operations.
Faith earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University with an emphasis in Early Childhood. During her 33 year career as an elementary school teacher and Library Media Specialist she was honored as a Leon County Teacher of the Year and awarded a Literacy Award from the Leon County Reading Council for her dedication to promoting Family Literacy. As a strong believer of lifelong learning Faith pursued her dream of earning a Master’s degree. In May, 2013 at the age of sixty-two Faith received a Master of Science in Health Care Informatics from UCF.
In her free time Faith enjoys spending time with family and friends at the beach or in the mountains, quilting, sewing, and reading.
