Biography

My name is Julee Sharma, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management at the Yale School of Public Health, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wellesley College. I am deeply committed to advancing health policy solutions that improve access to care, with particular interest in Medicaid reimbursement systems and the intersection of public health and government affairs. My experience spans federal and community health settings, from supporting disaster recovery funding strategies at the U.S. Department of the Treasury to expanding Telehealth access for low-income and elderly patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a licensed EMT, I bring hands-on clinical experience to my policy work, grounding my understanding of health systems in direct patient care. I am passionate about bridging the gap between policy and practice, and I aspire to build a career that creates lasting, systemic improvements in healthcare access and delivery.
