How to Incorporate Health Equity into the Medical Curriculum

Wednesday, September 8, 2021 – 12:00pm-1:00pm

You are invited to attend How to Incorporate Health Equity into the Medical Curriculum, part of the UCF College of Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’s Professional Development Series.

Persistent health disparities related to race, ethnicity, culture, and other US minority status necessitates that we, medical educators, critically evaluate how we can better prepare future physicians to care for patients from marginalized communities. Dr. Tracy MacIntosh will provide evidence-based, practical and novel strategies on how to incorporate health equity into your bedside and didactic teaching through this interactive and engaging professional development session. Register by Tuesday, September 7.

Diversity Learning Series – Becoming an Anti-Racist Organization

Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 12pm-2pm

By becoming an anti-racist organization could be compared to patching up an old boat — it takes skilled people to repair the structure of a boat. The same applies to anti-racism work. In this session you will learn how to deploy human-centered strategies that identify racism and advance equity in organizational structures — the systems, policies, practices as well as individual attitudes. Register by COB Monday, June 28.
