College of Medicine

PEP Talk

Richard Peppler, Ph.D., is the associate dean for faculty and academic affairs and interim director of the college’s Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences. He publishes PEP Talk, a newsletter for volunteer and affiliated faculty members who support the college’s curriculum.

Volunteer faculty members serve as preceptors or as clinical role models to students throughout their medical school careers. Volunteers may lecture, demonstrate a particular skill or serve as mentors, helping students in individual research projects.

Through the newsletter, Dr. Peppler encourages participation and teamwork among the volunteers whose participation is key to building a successful academic medicine program.
