Our goal with this publication is to keep preceptors informed on how our students are progressing and to provide pertinent information about the Community of Practice. The module has been an essential part of the UCF College of Medicine curriculum since our charter class enrolled in 2009.
The Community of Practice component, a longitudinal clinical experience, is integrated with P-1 and provides students with a clinical context in which to anchor their foundational knowledge and practice their clinical skills. Students work with preceptors throughout the Central Florida medical community and gain insight into the real world of medicine.
