Description: College of Medicine faculty and students will participate in Zora! Festival 2013 events on February 1, 2 and 3 in Hurston’s hometown of Eatonville, the oldest incorporated African-American municipality in America.
On Friday, February 1 from 1-2 p.m., medical students will present Body Wise, an event designed to excite middle school students about medical science, the human body and careers in medicine. On Saturday and Sunday, February 2 and 3, from noon until 4 p.m., doctors from UCF Pegasus Health, the College of Medicine physician practice, and students will conduct health screenings and discuss wellness and healthy lifestyles.
All events are free, open to the public and will be held in the festival’s Health Village in downtown Eatonville, off the Lee Road exit on Interstate 4.
